How much is the software?

Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) is an open-source application – meaning it is available at no cost. We do highly recommend becoming a patron of the OBS to help financially support their continued advancements, but this is strictly voluntary.

How difficult is it to learn?

We think people of all skill levels will be able to learn and get running quickly. Our course is designed in tiny bite-sized lessons in a step-by-step process that should get you up and running in no time.

If the software is free, then why should I pay to learn?

We have found people with advanced technical skills who took days to weeks to figure out what we can teach you in our short lessons. Also, we teach in a way to develop best practices for future growth and organization once you embark on more advanced functions of OBS.

Of course, you can learn on your own, but if you want to get installed and up to speed quickly so you can start benefitting from being a master presenter, we see no faster and more comprehensive way.

Once I learn the basics in the course, how can I get even better and do more cool things with OBS?

In addition to the beginner’s course, we will offer an advanced subscription service where you will get as many as 4 new lessons a month, as well as scheduled members only live feeds to get your questions answered by our technical experts to help you grow.

You also can find folks on YouTube and other places who offer tips and tricks, but most of those are focused on gamers rather than business and educational applications.

Is there special equipment that I need to make this work?

We have a lesson in this course that explains the basic requirements, but in summary, a decent PC, Mac, or laptop is the bare minimum. We think having a dual monitor (2 screen) set up makes life much easier, and once you get started, think about getting a better web cam, a better microphone and a headset. To get really cool effects, a green screen and proper lighting is recommended.
